Hiring your videographer separate from your photographer does work!

If you’re hiring your videographer and photographer from separate companies, you shouldn’t have to worry.  If both crews are professional, then they should be up to speed and working together, even if they haven’t met before.  We did that quite a bit in 2009 and it always was a blast to meet new professionals and see how well we work together.  Our shooting style is very different from most videographers.  Since we shoot with a Steadicam, we can REALLY get into the action.  Once we chat with your photographer about our style, we get all the details worked out and we’re ready to go.  I always joke that we’ll dance all day with the photo crew to get in there and get the great shots that should be part of your video.  Photographers are doing more and more unique work these days and we love to do the same.  Just because we don’t work for the same company shouldn’t influence your decision.  We pride ourselves on being courteous and friendly with other vendors on your wedding day.  In fact, we’ve formed great friendships with many of the photographers we’ve met and worked with.

Congratulations to our winner, Ashley! She was the first to respond to our exclusive 50% off wedding video package email.

At the Oct. Today’s Bride Show at the Sheraton in Akron we had a drawing for 50% off a wedding video package and here’s the crazy part…we drew 2 names and neither of them responded to take the prize!

So we sent out an email to all the brides from that show and Ashley was the first to respond and won our exclusive 50% off wedding video package for her wedding this August!

We look forward to meeting her and her finacé this weekend, and hearing about their wedding plans :-)

Also, Thanks to all the emails we received for this contest! If you did not win, but are interested in our services for your wedding we do have a 20% discount currently, and that’ll help save you a big chunk! Drop us an email we’d love to hear from you.

Wedding Video tips

Today I saw a cool new product, called Crystal Bloom which is handcrafted crystal bouquets, an alternative to flowers and make a great keepsake! I wish I would of known about these when I was getting married. The bouquets are gorgeous and the pictures don’t do them justice…they are a must see :-)

We had the honor of being a part of Jenny & Damon’s wedding this past summer, and our services were the wedding gift from the Groom’s sister and Brother-in-law, Nicole and Jay (how cool is that!) What a great couple Jenny and Damon are…we just adore them and their wonderful families!

It was a very rainy morning and we all kept checking the radar, but the storms just kept rolling in. Just as everyone was trying to figure out what to do about the outdoor ceremony and all the rain, Jenny said “Okay guys I just talked to Damon and we’ve decided to rock it out in the rain, so let’s go!” So we all headed over to the Hungarian Cultural Garden for the ceremony with umbrellas in hand. It was very rainy, but so warm with all the friends and family that showed up huddled under their umbrellas to be a part of Jenny and Damon’s wedding…rain or shine they were all there! Immediately after the minister announced them husband and wife they walked out from under their huge golf umbrella and the rain stopped! We ended up with a wonderful sunset evening for outdoor pics/video and lots of fun at the reception with Rick & the Cutting Edge Band…they rocked the house!

Here’s a wonderful thank you note from Jenny & Damon

“Bob & Krista,
Damon and I LOVED watching the videos this afternoon!! We laughed and cried all over again. You did an amazing job capturing the special moments that happened throughout our day and even those we didn’t know happened. ;-) We can never thank you enough for your professionalism, flexibility, and friendship you showed throughout the process. We are so grateful to have received such an amazing gift and cannot wait to share it with our friends and family! Thank You!!
Jenny & Damon”

Also, a thank you note from Nicole (the grooms sister)

“Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say THANK YOU!!! You guys rocked on video for Damon & Jenny. In fact, as we said goodbye to Damon the next morning, he declared the two of you to be his favorite vendor of the day. Kudos to you both…we… all just adored you. You made a crazy day MUCH smoother. Thanks for “going with the flow” and making all the adjustments you did. Now we can’t wait to see the video!!”

Jen & Drew had an absolutely perfect day for an late afternoon, outdoor wedding this past summer at Stan Hywet’s Tea House at the Birch Tree Allee Vista. It was a gorgeous, warm sunny day and Stan Hywet’s grounds gave a lot of great photo/video locations. Jen & Drew’s wedding day was truly picture perfect! We really enjoyed spending the day with them and sharing in their special moments.

We give our best wishes to Jen & Drew!

A few months back we decided it was time to get some pro pics for our website, blog and other business collateral, so we called our cool photog friend Lisa Christine Austin. We just love Lisa because she’s so sweet, laid back, and easy to work with. Since first working with Lisa, this year at our first wedding, we’ve watched her talent blossom and we couldn’t have found a better fit…thanks again Lisa, you did a great job!

Here’s a few of our favorites, enjoy! :-)

In late October we met with Amanda and Shawn to shoot their ‘Love Story’ Interview and had a great time getting to know them and hear their story. It’s always so fun to spend time with our couples, we really enjoy that! We wish them luck as they finish all their planning, for their June 2010 wedding.

Here’s some pics we shot…aren’t they so cute!??

Bob and I really enjoyed being part of Amy & Jeremy’s Wedding this past summer. After the rain blew over, it turned into a gorgeous sunset evening at the Tudor house on the Portage Lakes! Even better is that they are two absolutely wonderful people that you can’t help but love. We feel very lucky to have been there to share and document their special day.
